Announcing the Official Beginning of Development of River Walk Condominiums
River Walk Place L.L.C.
Today we are excited to announce the official beginning of River Walk Place Condominiums, a development of Riverfront Developments, LLC. The principles of Riverfront Development are Bill Lunsford, Alan Goode and Wally Price. We have been planning this project for more than two years and today all the preliminary work and approval process has been successfully completed as we kick off this project. We expect to begin construction early 2007.
We are very pleased to have a development that is part of the Tuscaloosa Riverfront plan. Much work has already been completed with the walking trails and the passive areas. The Riverfront will achieve its full potential as private developers envision and undertake projects that will complement and enhance Tuscaloosa’s riverfront.
We are also pleased to be the first private developer to make a commitment to the riverfront. Our project is a wonderful project appropriate for the area and we hope to set the standard for what will follow on Tuscaloosa’s riverfront.
River Walk Place is a community of luxury condominiums where gracious living and natural beauty meet. The residents of these condominiums will enjoy the tranquil flow of the river, spectacular sunsets and extraordinary beauty. The architectural firm, Ward Scott Veron, designed a traditional/classic inspired exterior with stunning architectural features, distinctive craftsmanship, meticulous detail and superior amenities. Convenient to downtown, the University, and local shopping areas, River Walk Place offers an exceptional lifestyle of elegance and style.
As you can see from the rendering, River Walk Place will be six stories high consisting of ground level covered parking and five floors of 31 luxurious living units. The custom units will consist of seven penthouses and 24 flats. The condominiums will also include a secured gated entrance, private parking and private terraces with views of the Black Warrior River. The interiors will feature hardwood and marble flooring, a fireplace, custom cabinets, granite countertops, the finest appliances, security systems and state of the art heating and cooling systems.
We want to thank the city of Tuscaloosa, Bill Snowden and the planning staff, Joe Robinson and TDOT, Mayor Walt Maddox, and the City Council for their encouragement and support.
We are pleased to have Iris Hinton as part of our team. She will be the broker and will handle marketing and sales.
We anticipate a construction process of two years. We are very excited to launch this project today and look forward to providing this great addition to Tuscaloosa’s Riverfront.
